Team Lundeen at RE/MAX Results is celebrating 10 years of fundraising for Homes in Guatemala

For the past 10 years, Team Lundeen RE/MAX Results has been partnering with Recycled Lives, a nonprofit ministry serving in Guatemala, to raise the funds needed to bring dignified housing to 11 families living on and around a local garbage dump.

Because of your past generosity and the help of new partners each year, we are excited for the challenge to raise $10,000 to construct TWO more homes! We have a special gift of a 10% match which will provide the final $1,000 to build the 2nd home! The Gomez-Macaley family lives in a small one room bedroom of Jose's parents home. Four years ago Jose saved enough money to buy a small piece of property. The funds they had saved to build a little shack for their 1st home needed to be used when Manuela & son, Carlos, were in a motorcycle accident. Praise the Lord Carlos was unharmed but Manuela was hospitalized for several days for her injuries and suffered a 3rd degree burn on her thigh. They have been praying in faith that one day God would work through Recycled Lives to help them build their home. Manuela faithfully serves at their church each week. Jose works as a collector on a garbage truck. The children attend school and they especially love attending bible classes and activities hosted by Recycled Lives each Thursday.

There were many tears as we prayed over their land and their family as the reality sunk in that they would be the next recipient of a home. Once the funds are raised for the 1st home, we will reveal the 2nd family! Updates will be provided on the progress of the fundraiser and as we construct the homes!
